Does Aqua One Track Incognito Browsing?

Yes — Aqua One tracks incognito and private browsing using Instant Replay at the operating system level, so your child's activity is visible in your dashboard no matter which browser mode they use.

Updated May 14, 2026

Many parents assume Incognito Mode, disappearing messages, or one-time photos make activity impossible to monitor. Aqua One was built specifically to prevent that.

When your child uses:

  • Incognito or Private Browsing

  • Snapchat disappearing photos

  • Instagram one-time photos or vanish mode

  • Temporary Messenger content

…that activity can still appear in your Parent Dashboard.

How does Aqua One capture incognito activity?

Aqua One's monitoring operates at the device level, not the network level. It captures what appears on the screen directly — meaning even content in private or incognito modes is recorded through Instant Replay before it disappears. The browser's history log doesn't matter because Aqua One isn't pulling from that log.

You can also use Google Family Link to disable Incognito mode entirely on Chrome for additional peace of mind:

  1. Open the Family Link app.

  2. Select your child.

  3. Tap Manage settings > Filters on Google Chrome.

  4. Tap Manage sites > Approved or Blocked.

  5. Tap Add an exception in the bottom right corner.

  6. Add a website or domain.

  7. Tap Close — you're done!

Note: while Aqua One captures incognito screen activity, we always recommend also disabling incognito mode via Family Link for the most complete protection.
