Yes — you can still monitor apps even when a VPN is in use. Your exclusive monitoring features are designed to provide full visibility into your child's online activities regardless of VPN status.
While a VPN encrypts internet traffic to protect privacy, Aqua One's monitoring capabilities remain intact, allowing you to guide your child toward safe and responsible digital behavior.
Why doesn't a VPN block monitoring?
A VPN operates at the network layer — it encrypts the traffic leaving the device but has no effect on what the Aqua One captures directly on the screen and within apps. Aqua One's monitoring happens at the device level, before traffic ever reaches the network. This means app usage, messages, screen content, and all other activity are still captured and sent to your Parent Dashboard as normal.
What if my child installs multiple VPN apps?
It doesn't matter how many VPN apps are installed or which one is active — monitoring stays fully intact. You'll also be able to see in your App List that a VPN app is installed on the device.
Should I be concerned if I see a VPN on the device?
While a VPN can't block your monitoring, its presence may indicate your child is trying to. It's worth having a conversation about why it's there and whether it's being used appropriately.
